Can the bank statement be in my parents' name?
My savings are in my parents' account, not mine. Will the school and immigration accept that? What extra documents do I need?

Yes, in most cases — with one extra document.
If the account is in a parent's name you need a family relationship certificate proving you're their child, translated into English (and apostilled or embassy-stamped depending on your country). Some schools also ask for a short sponsorship letter from the parent.
A few schools do prefer the applicant's own account. When that's the case the simplest fix is to transfer the money to your account early — ideally 3 months before you apply — so the balance doesn't look borrowed.
We check this per school before you pay any application fee, because a rejected financial document costs you a whole intake.

Mine was in my mother's name, no problem at all with the family certificate. Just make sure the translation is official.
