Most Asked Questions

Q. What is the difference between Summer and Winter programs in Korea?

Summer programs usually run for 4–6 weeks between June and August, while Winter programs are shorter (2–3 weeks) between December and February.
Both offer academic courses + cultural activities, but Summer generally has more courses, more students, and more outdoor activities.

Q. Can I join even if I am not a student at a partner university?

Yes! Most Summer/Winter programs accept both partner and non-partner university students.
Non-partner students simply pay the regular program fee.

Q. Do these programs require a visa?

Most Summer/Winter programs do not require a student visa because they are short-term.
Students usually enter with K-ETA or tourist status, depending on nationality and program length.

Q. Are the program fees all-inclusive?

Program fees cover tuition, activities, and official university events.
Housing, meals, and flights are not included, but ALLO KOREA helps you secure accommodation easily (dorm, share house, or studio).

Q. Can I earn credits and transfer them to my home university?

Yes. Many programs offer 3–6 academic credits depending on the courses.
Credit transfer depends on your home university, so we recommend checking with your academic advisor.

Q. How early should I apply?

For popular Summer/Winter programs, it’s best to apply 2–3 months in advance.
Housing availability and course registration are also better when applying early.
