Hanyang International Winter School (HIWS) is a short, intensive program held during the winter break on Hanyang University’s Seoul campus. You can choose a single 2-week session (A or B) or stay longer by combining both sessions for a full 4-week experience in Korea.
It’s a great option if you want a taste of campus life in Korea but cannot join a full summer program. HIWS combines classes with cultural activities, so you can study, explore Seoul, and meet international friends during your holidays.

Hanyang International Winter School (HIWS) is a short but intensive winter program held on Hanyang University’s Seoul campus. You can join Session A, Session B, or combine both for a full 4-week winter experience in Korea.
HIWS is designed for students who want to experience campus life in Korea during their winter break without committing to a full semester or summer term. Each 2-week session combines academic classes with cultural activities, giving you a balanced schedule of study and exploration in Seoul.

Fees & Tuition (HIWS Session A & B)

Housing for HIWS Students
HIWS students can stay in the on-campus dormitory or choose from ALLO KOREA’s off-campus housing options near Hanyang University.
Twin room dormitory about 15 minutes’ walk from campus. Warm, safe and convenient for HIWS students.

- Furniture: bed, bedding, wardrobe, desk, chair

Assigned on a first-come basis. ALLO KOREA helps you apply early when HIWS dorm registration opens.

Health Insurance for HIWS
All HIWS students must be covered by health or travel insurance for their entire stay in Korea. Proof of insurance must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the program begins.
Students may use private insurance purchased in their home country, as long as it covers the full HIWS period in Korea.
