Ewha KLC Regular Program Overview
Ewha Womans University Korean Language Center offers a year-round intensive Regular Program for learners who want to start from Hangul, reach advanced academic Korean, and prepare for university study, work, or long-term life in Korea.
The Regular Program operates across four terms per year (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). Each term is around 10 weeks (3 months), and you can choose the starting term that best fits your plan.
Students are placed from Level 1 to Level 6 (with sub-levels such as 1A/1B) based on their Korean ability.
At Level 1A–1B, you learn Hangul, basic Korean sentence structure, and essential expressions
for everyday situations, and you start reading and writing short texts.
At Level 2, you can handle a wider range of daily situations using appropriate expressions and
read and write different types of texts on everyday topics.
At Level 3, you express your opinion and communicate in more complex daily and simple social
situations, and read various texts on familiar social topics.
At Level 4, you can solve urgent problems in Korean, participate in discussions in a more formal
way, and read abstract or social-topic texts while writing logical multi-paragraph essays.
At Level 5–6, you deal with political, economic, social, historical, and cultural topics, use
high-level vocabulary, understand news, debates, and other media, and complete projects such as reports and
short research papers.
